on facebook...

I have spent a fair amount of time on facebook lately. I like seeing the faces of friends that I miss. I like to know who has a cold and who has a hangover. I don't like not knowing if friends are editing their profile or editing their life. "Your friend has deleted married from her relationship status." Should I comment? What do you say? I never met him. Actually, I was going to comment a week ago when I first read she was listed as married and interested in men. I thought that was funny.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Okay. So here is a question for you. Where did it go? You know...the money. The money that everyone is saying they "lost" in the stock market. It isn't lost. It is somewhere. I'd like to know where. Some people say that it isn't a real loss unless you sell. What do you mean by that? Maybe I am just stupid, but this isn't fake money that we are talking about. It is real money. It came out of my bank account, I gave it to you, and now all I want to know is who has it now. I am not mad. I am just curious. The money had to have gone somewhere. It isn't "lost". Someone knows where it is.

Sunday 3:12

It is 3:08. The dog is sleeping. I think I'll join him. It has been a long time since I've taken a Sunday afternoon nap.

It Is Sunday Again

I find it very motivating to watch television shows like X-Weighted and The Last Ten Pounds when I am on the treadmill Sunday mornings. I usually follow these with Designer Marathon or some show about skinny teenagers who want to get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for walking in stilettos. Great gig if you can get it. I have no illusions about fame and fortune. I just want to fit into my jeans without anything spilling out over the top. (I would also like to be able to run 10km in 55mins.) Anyway, I digress. Back to The Last Ten Pounds Bootcamp show. They usually take these women who want to lose 10 pounds out shopping to buy a goal weight outfit,a "carrot" as I see it. And so yesterday I went to Winner's and bought myself a "carrot". Well, not really. I am just trying to justify buying a new dress when I didn't really need one. My goal will be to fit into this dress without the aid of any engineered underwear.

It is a nice dress.
