Summer Time And The Living Is Easy!

Passing through the checkout at the Great Canadian SuperStore tonight I picked up one of those little recipe books that you know you'll never use, but since you are hungry and the line isn't moving and the pictures look so good that you tell yourself that this time you'll actually make something from the book. You know what I mean? This one is for the perfect great American cookout. July is the month I most envy Americans. The fourth is spectacular compared to the first and those big cookouts with all your friends and family kick off the summer in style. If you look closely at the picture you will see the date stamp is December 25th. When it comes to cooking I am more Vanna White than Rachel Ray, but I will look at the pretty pictures several times before this book goes into the drawer with all the others.

Lessons Learned

It is hot out today. I'm not sure what the temperature is exactly, just that it was too hot to take Max for a walk at noon.

He is okay now.

Koop Island Blues

SONG OF THE DAY!

Are any of you old enough to remember that country tune Don't Fence Me In ? I don't recall who sang it originally, however, I do know who sings it now

The door swung shut behind him when he went to get a drink from the toilet. We weren't home. We had attempted to go to a movie. We got there a little too late so we decided to go home. We got there a little too late as well.

Rainy Days And Thursdays...

A rainy day today. A rainy day off today, spent in front of the television. I'm watching theshoppingchannel and the Tiffany Style lamps are on again. I am pretty sure that I am not going to buy another one today. I will have to watch the whole show however, just to be really sure.
