Poor Gido

Poor Gido. He used to be young and full of life. Now his back and arms ache and he doesn't know why. Poor Gido.

Bump Watch For Aunty Winter

Sunday

Went to the beach on Sunday with Mom and Dad. I was having a good time until they put me back on my leash. Mom said I shouldn't have taken food from strangers, especially when it is the lunch of said strangers. I didn't think that they were strange, in fact, I thought they were cute. Note to self: Don't poop in the water where people can see you!

Bake at 350 Degrees for approx. One Hour...

Maybe I should set the timer. I'm off to a pot luck lunch. One of our young friends from work is going back to school to finish a degree. It is one of those things that can weigh heavy on your mind, leaving a good job and not knowing for sure if you can still pay the bills on part-time work. I think she is making the right decision. She won't have to sit back and wonder "what if..." when she is old. I doubt that I could do it. It took me four hours to decide to make breakfast sausage to take (I can't cook), and I changed my outfit five times. Good luck H!

Grandma Loves Gido

On Seeing the Stones

I couldn't believe my luck! To get tickets to the Stones! What were the odds? Now reality is sinking in. Stand around for several hours? With my bunion, bad knee and his bad back? Rain? I don't know how crazy I am about standing around in the rain for several hours what with this bunion and all. What if I get thirsty? I can't drink just any water. My water is flavoured and has tiny bubbles in it. They won't let me bring in my water. Even if they did, then I would have to pee and I don't really want to walk through the rain and mud to go pee in those stinky little blue cubicles. It's hard to wiggle out of wet jeans in a big room let alone a little blue cubicle. I don't want to spend the whole concert standing outside the little blue cubicles that smell like pee, but how would I find my way back to my friends? Would they even still be where I left them? Wow...tickets to the Stones!

Time Out

"Are you on that computer again? That's it! I'm taking it away from you for one week. You are in a time out!"

Cold and Wet

I've never been too crazy about being cold and wet, but sometimes you get a little brave and venture outside your comfort zone and you end up having so much fun that you vow never to let a little fear stand in your way again.( Even if you slip and fall on your butt). Then the next time comes and you have to get a little brave again, and you end up having so much fun...

Building a Better Birdhouse

I built a birdhouse once. It was a spectacular cottage version, complete with a stone pebble chimney and popsicle-stick white picket fence. I had so much fun making it. Ideas came fast and furious for new, bigger and better birdhouses. I only made the one. I've got a small room downstairs that is full of all the things you could possibly need to paint, quilt, sew, crochet, and knit. I've only knit one scarf for my husband. It is narrow at one end and as big as a baby blanket at the other. I've made one baby quilt, one full-sized quilt,... one daughter and one son. I've got one dog, and, best of all, I've got one great husband who puts up with all the things that I think I've got to; like run, take violin lessons, blog, etc., etc., etc.,...
