The Crane

Day 2

Day two of Gido's radiation. I had a tour of the facilities and the procedure. Received instructions "not to try this at home". There are five machines running every day and approximately one hundred and fifty people receiving treatment every day. Some come alone and some come as a couple.
Sometimes it is difficult to tell which one of a couple is the patient and sometimes it isn't.

Open House Sunday

This is like one of those "scratch and sniff" stickers. The kind that let you smell the lemon, to heighten the whole experience. Only it's just for the audio and luckily for you there isn't a way to really smell this.

Baby I'm Sorry...Forgive Me!

Update

Could you guess what this was if you didn't know that Max was an accident prone athlete? That's right kids. It is a swimming injury! Don't ask how. I wasn't there. His father was. Days later, no signs of healing, a trip to the vet to remove dead tissue and sew it all closed. That was last Tuesday. We have one more week before the sutures can come out and he can take a bath. Gido says "he stinks", to which I retort, "you stink!" and then Max gets up and leaves the room.

I promised updates, but I didn't say that they would be any good.

Last Monday

I fell in love with The Yellow Comb, a painting by Doug Scott. Unfortunately, it was gone from the art gallery before I had a chance to return. It took a few weeks, but I was able to track down the artist and was invited to take a second look. I was right. I did love it. A week later I acquired a second Doug Scott painting that inspired a trip to PEI to find the wharf in New London, and although it had changed a bit, it was easily recognizable. A perfect day.
