Just got an email that tonight's run has been cancelled. Can't say that I'm disappointed. I know I would have done it, but I wouldn't have liked it. I am going to buy a treadmill.

Ca va?
Today I woke up and was grateful that I didn't have to go anywhere. We are still in the deep freeze. I rode the stationary bike for a bit and watched some guy get plastic surgery and some girls get botox on tv. I did manage to back up my computer. That took two hours. I was stuck because I forgot to close down my sidebar and with it running I couldn't complete the task. Duh! I read the newspaper from several cities. I can't believe how many jobs are out there in Alberta. Apparently the run tomorrow is still on. That is kind of sick, and not in a good way. I forgot! I also reviewed a couple of lessons from itunes podcast "Coffeebreak French". I forget what I learnt, but I would probably remember it if I heard it again. Au revoir! A' la prochaine!

A Love Letter...
OMG! It was 2 above yesterday! I can't run outside in that today. This global warming sucks! I miss you Nova Scotia! I miss you so much! Take me back! I'll be good and I'll never leave you again!

Tuesday Afternoon
Apparently there may be a blizzard on the way. I haven't seen anything on t.v., but then again I don't watch the weather channel as much as I used to. It is cold here and it snows sometimes. It is fairly benign for the most part. I am surprised at how quickly we have adapted to this climate. My driving is solid. I don't travel too fast for the conditions, and I don't go so slow as to annoy other drivers either. I feel that the part of my life that is suffering the most is my running. Sunday morning ended a two month hiatus. I know that I will need a little more motivation to get me through this winter, so I have signed up for a running clinic. The Running Room sent the notice about the blizzard. I think that I am going to like this.

Sunday Morning
I went for a run this morning. It was the first of the year. (I don't count flailing away on the mini trampoline, although I do feel that it helped.) It was 10 degrees Celsius and I over dressed. Map My Run said that my route was approximately 5.88km. That is about half of the distance I used to run on Sunday mornings. I feel good though. It's a start. I plan to run the 10km in the Bluenose this May. It will kind of depend on whether or not I can get the time off work and that will depend on whether or not I get a job. Yes, I have started looking. Days off aren't as much fun unless they are days off from something and I really miss payday. I think that it will be good to get back to work. Today I feel really good.
