Thursday Morning
Day off today. Ran 11km this morning. Don't be impressed. I had to walk about half of it. This was the first time in months that I ran outside. It is harder than running on the treadmill. I will usually try to run at an incline between two and four for about an hour, but the track must absorb quite a bit of shock. Outside nothing bounces your body back. It is the music that keeps you going, that and the knowledge that people driving by are critiquing your form (in more ways than one). I know I do it. "Straighten up...don't drag your feet...quit flailing your arms so much!" I say it in my head to myself and when I am sure that nobody is looking, I sing out loud. My feet are sore, but I feel good.
